So if you haven’t heard the W Las Vegas will take over the Lux Tower at the SLS Las Vegas. They are looking to distance themselves from the SLS through the remodel of the hotel rooms bringing in their own style even though the SLS will continue to operate the other two hotel towers. They will also be building a three story meeting room addition that will be topped with Wet Pool their own brand.
Wet will be located on the top floor and will cover approximately 10,000 square feet, that they are describing as a “bar/nightclub” in the paperwork presented for Clark County planning approval. See
SLS Las Vegas already operates its own pool and dayclub Foxtail Pool, the smaller Lux Pool, which sits on top of the soon to debut performance venue The Foundry and 80,000 square feet of convention space including a 9,000-square-foot ballroom.
Wet Pool deck is described on the W Scottsdale’s website as a 24/7 venue to swim, or just hang out where their DJs spin the hottest beats from 12PM to 6PM.
While they have a lot of competition to be the hottest pool party in Las Vegas, I see this becoming the pool party for those over pool parties.
